Dayton High School

Yesterday marked the kickoff of the Dayton ESports season, featuring both our Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. The Junior Varsity squad, led by John Thompson, Jynx Turner, and Zyon Barnes, faced off against the Nicholas County Blue Jackets. Meanwhile, the Varsity team, under the leadership of Claudio Miller, Will Mueller, and Diem Donnerson, took on the Estill County "Rocketeer Engineers." Both teams gained invaluable experience, and we look forward to learning from their performances as we strive for a successful season ahead.

Congrats to the Cross Country team who had another successful meet this weekend!!! All Dayton runners competed with many seeing season best in time and place. The following runners earned a medal for their finish: Varsity 5K Race = Cayden Evans - 6th place finish and a season best time Elementary 3K Race Dylan Downard - 14th place Ashton Clifton - 3rd place Sophia Bays - 1st place AGAIN this week for the second week in a row The elementary and middle school runners will be in Alexandria, KY next Saturday for the Saint Invitational. Go Devils!!!

The Rivercities College Fair was held at Newport HS today. A large group of DHS juniors and seniors were able to attend and learn more about the local colleges that were present!! Thank you Newport HS for hosting!! #weareDayton #engaged
